About Us

Tracy Otsuka, Esq. Broker Associate with RE/MAX Downtown brings ten years of experience as a real estate broker to her real estate practice. As a licensed California attorney, her legal experience gives her a distinct advantage when negotiating short sales, working REOs, foreclosures, and conventional real estate transactions.  Tracy also works with residential real estate investors and is an expert in 1031 exchanges.

As an Accredited Staging Professional, Tracy's professional expertise and advanced training assures clients a marketing edge that truly sets their home apart from others on the market.  That translates into a home that sells faster and for more money than an unstaged home.  Tracy has been featured in the San Francisco Chronicle, The Examiner, Better Homes & Gardens and Petaluma Magazine.

Tracy received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and German from the University of California at Davis, a Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law and a Masters in Law in Securities Regulation from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington D.C. As Senior Counsel, she practiced for five years with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

In 1993, Tracy founded a manufacturing company which produced women's designer sportswear under the Otsuka label. The label was sold wholesale worldwide as well as through the Otsuka catalog. Key U.S. accounts included Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom.

Tracy and her husband, Richard Stefani live in Penngrove on six acres with a pond and plenty of ducks. They have a daughter, Atea and a son, Markus. Tracy is consistently ranked in the top 10% of RE/MAX realtors.
